Google Calendar

This is another addition to Technology Thursday. On Thursdays we will be highlighting a different online technology that Teachers can put to use in the classroom. You can find more articles on the Technology page.

Google has a line of products that are made to increase productivity, efficiency, collaboration, and achievement. These products all come standard with a Google account. To create a Google Account click here.

Google Calendar is a neat way to organize your life.

With Google Calendar you can control the different parts of your life all in one place. (School Activites/functions, Family time, Church time, college homework, any and everything).

Google allows you to set each event as a different color to help you organize your to-do-list. You also have the option to share your calendar with friends, family, or faculty (I mean co-workers).

This is why I love Google Calendar. I can see the schedule for multiple events and venues all at once. By seeing everything in one place, scheduling parent teacher conferences or department meetings becomes much more simple.

Try working with Google Calendar at work and before long you will be installing the app on your smartphone...and eventually using Google Calendar to plan your life!
